8. Teresa Wan never seems to be in her office . I've been trying to [color=green](___)[/color] to her all morning.

9. If the operator puts me on hold agains,  I'll [color=purple](_______).[/color].

10. If an American operator says " Are you through ? " , she wants to know is your call [color=olive](___)[/color]

11. I'm going to [color=sienna](________)[/color] calling her . I never can get hold her .

i am not sure but i think it may refer to give the phone to somebody to answer it,
something like that.

good guess. I guess so, but my dictionary said that it means "done" or "ask for something".

um..
i would like to check out some answers
